Week 8 - Reflective Surfaces

This week we have been looking at Reflective surfaces, this focuses on light, reflection and refraction. Theses three factors have to be taken in to account when drawing objects that are shiny, glass or reflective, light can make these objects look different depending on how the light reflects off that object. In this 45 minute sketch I focused on detail, reflections, refractions and also light.

This sketch shows different types of shading and texture for each object, you can see that the glass bottle to the far left of the sketch in glass and has water in it which refracts the image seen through the glass. The jug laid on its side in the sketch is a reflective surface and is reflecting some of the environment back. The tin to the left is well lit and you can see lots of detail on it.
