In the last session of this semester we looked at pose and posture again but this time it was in more detail and also we were looking at the context of both natural posture and natural pose. This is a closer look at posture which is balance and weight in the poses of the model. Also we looked at pose which is the gesture of the model which we have focused on already.
The first drawing I did was a very quick sketch, it wasn't very successful but it did offer a good idea on the models pose as seen in the back and the head. It also showed the basic gesture of the model and the weight of the pose.
The second sketch I did was a slightly longer 5 minute one, this focused on posture and pose again. I managed to show the weight in the sketch fairly well and as you can see most of the weight is in the legs and back. The arched back sloping shoulders show off the posture of this sketch well, the proportion is a bit of but it still shows good balance and weight.
By including the spine it is easy to see how the body was supposed to lean forward and the arms were supposed to rest on his knees. improvement could be made but still it is better than the first sketch and still overs some gesture and weight.
The last sketch I did was the longest sketch I did and I went back to using pencil which allowed me to get very good shape in the muscles and in the rest of the body. The proportions of this drawings are very good and the detail on the muscles in the legs, back and arms are pretty accurate.
The weight is slightly off in this sketch the model is supposed to be leaning more on his leg but the drawing still shows good balance and detail.
