This is my final piece for the life drawing module, this sketch took 15 minutes to complete and is a highly detailed sketch of the life model stretched out on to a mat, this is a well proportioned sketch and has high levels of shading on it so you can see all the shadow from the light and also the detail in the back, arms and legs. This sketch offers a very close interpretation of the pose and position the model was in.
This is a successful sketch because it uses shading to create a illusion of 3D in the sketch and a sense of distance from the arms and legs on the mat. The detail in this sketch offer good shape in the arms and back and allows you to see the creases and line seen in the sketch.
